Note From Kevin (Minister of Music)

Well, it's a New Year. One of my "favorite" things to hear is "New Year, New Me." (P.S. That's sarcasm.) I mean just because we've went from 2018 to 2019 do we really need a new us? What is wrong with continuing to improve the same old "us"? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” If we continue our walk with Christ daily, then he has already made us new. The old worldly things that we once loved are not as enticing anymore. The pleasure of sin that we once had makes us feel guilty and shameful if we are walking with Him. So don't throw away your whole life and try to start fresh because of a date on the calendar. Continue walking with Christ daily, chose righteousness and joy and spread His word throughout the new year. May God richly bless each of you this New Year and many more to come.

P.S. Thank you all so much for supporting the choir and I during this Christmas season. The Cantata was wonderful and couldn't have asked for better special music this season! We are already starting to look forward to Easter, so if you are interested in becoming a part of the Lynn Garden Baptist Choir, please email, call or text me, or show up to one of our practices and see how you like it, I know you will!
