Note From Kevin (Minister of Music)

It’s hard to believe that it is already November and that means colder weather and, of course, Christmas is right around the corner. The Lynn Garden BC Choir has already been practicing diligently to present “Unspeakable Joy” this Christmas season. We still have plenty of room for you if you are interested in joining the choir. The choir meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 on the second floor of the Sanctuary building. If you have any questions or concerns about the choir, please feel free to call or text me and I would be glad to share more about the choir with you. But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. November is a month that we should reflect on our lives and give thanks to God for all the blessings that he bestows upon us daily. In the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons approaching remember Philppians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  7) And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  The end of the year brings lots of stress and anxiety to many. I too have issues dealing with the many events and deadlines surrounding me. But we must sit back, relax and enjoy God’s presence around us during these next holidays. This upcoming Thanksgiving let’s not get too overwhelmed with everything going on around us, but instead give thanks to God, our provider for all things.

Love in blessings and song,

Kevo
